Voice of a Woman is a family-formed charitable organization with a mission to fund faith-based educational scholarships at the elementary school level. We hold an annual event in late October in support of this cause.
To support education is to believe in the strength of learning to uplift those blessed with access.
Our father, Christopher Obani Ihejirika, so strongly believed in the power of education that from the U.S., he supported students back home in Nigeria and instilled in his family the responsibility to give back to those less fortunate after attaining our own education.
For that reason, the Ihejirika family is bound by this commitment to continue his work.
Thank you for your support of our mission, our events, and our mother's memoir of how our family arrived in the United States as refugees after a miraculous escape of the brutal Nigerian-Biafran War.
